DRAFT Minutes of the Extraordinary Meeting of Cornworthy Parish Council held
In Cornworthy Village Hall at 7.15pm on Monday 29th May 2023
Present: Cllr Tuppen (Chair), Cllr Bailey (Vice Chair), Cllr Hunt, Cllr Finn, Cllr Fowler, Cllr Thompson, Cllr Hubbard and Cllr Hawkins (DCC) were present as was C Campos Parish Clerk.
1. Apologies for Absence – Cllr McKay SHDC
- Councillor Declarations of Interests None
- To discuss changes to the venue and start time of future CPC meetings.
Cllr Hubbard proposed that the Council held future CPC meetings in Cornworthy Village Hall with a start time of 7.30pm, Cllr Bailey seconded, and the proposal was approved unanimously.
- To approve the payment of £315. 64 for Cornworthy Parish Council’s 2023-24 Insurance Policy
The payment was approved.
- To reverse the resolution that “The Parish Council will not be involved with the new or the old Village Hall after the outcome of the Planning Permission for the new village hall.” made by Cornworthy Parish Council on 13th March 2023
Cllr Tuppen explained that the reason CPC was looking to reverse this resolution was that it was detrimental to the Village Hall’s ACRE grant application, which is in part contingent on support from the Parish Council. Cllr Bailey proposed that the resolution was reversed Cllr Finn seconded and the vote was unanimously in favour of doing this.
The next Parish Council Meeting is on Monday 12th June 2023 at 7.30pm
